Life's a Beach

What can i say about Odessa, it was sunny and cheap again, loads of babushkas came up to us at the train station and offered us lodging we got a room for about £6 each with 2 double beds in an out-house with seperate kitchens and tank shower. we went into town to check the boat but we got lost and ended up walking down the steps that were in 'The Battleship Potemkin' we got to the ferry terminal where the woman told us that there wasnt a boat until tuesday (i think it was a friday) so we had a sit down and decided to go to Moldova, yay! (there was a even a breif mention of georgia, but that was by me, and i was going nuts with no money) After cancelling the bulgarian hostel and booking the moldovan one. we bought our coach tickets, a fiver each and went back to our babuska, to get ready to spent the late afternoon, early evening on the beach, no topless beanies here, but i had my first dip in the Black Sea (third sea of the trip). Whilst i was out on the jetty to brusied and bloody men climbed out of the sea with a big bag of muscles. That night we checked out Arkadia, sort of like a Ukrianian seaside party mecca, and went to an open air club with an unbelievable amount of beanies, obvo didnt get with any. it was the first club i've ever been to with a half time show where the cleared the dancefloor and a couple came on and did some gymnastic sort of dancing, involving lifts etc. they were followed by two people in costumes dancing, fuck knows what they were supposed to be. for the rest of the night they were playing Ftv LATE on the big screen, basically videos of buff topless women posing for photo shoots, one after another for hours on end - it was distacting to say the least.

we had to wake up early the next day to get the bus to Chisinau (Kish-i-now) the capital of Moldova, preferably i would have stayed a week in Odessa and i was sad to leave, and to leave Ukraine in general but we had a music festival to go to, and 3 countries to visit along the way.
